The new stone marker was placed over Truth's grave in 1946 by the Sojourner Truth Memorial Association.
Local historian and Truth scholar, Berenice Lowe (foreground) and Frances Valentine,
secretary of the Memorial Association, planted flowers at the site.
The new stone replicated the inscription on the first marker.
